About me - Astro
Astrophotography Bio
Since a young boy (age of 5) my father (a Space related enthusiast) taught me lots of things about astronomy, Space, and all related to Astronautics by that time. I was a close follower of the Space adventure and watched live the first man on the Moon (we thought that was live...lol).
My father built a Newton reflector (including the mirror), but the telescope vanished during a family house move...
For many reasons, related to the day-to-day life, I've never had the opportunity to buy a telescope before I retired, in December 2019...
But as it's better late than never, I begun taking my first pictures in August 2020 (The Moon and Andromeda - M31), using my first rigs, a Maksutov-Cassegrain 127/1500 telescope for planets and Galaxies and later an Askar FMA180 for Nebulas, and continued to learn and to take more and more pictures, whenever possible.
In 2021 bought a Ritchey-Chrétien 154/1370 telescope which enable me to take better planetary and Galaxy photos due to the telescope's higher magnification.
All this equipment was given away or sold in 2021/2022.
My actual Astrophotography gear is composed by two small telescopes: a 72/335mm telescope for the Moon, Galaxies, Clusters and Nebulas for magnitudes up to 7.5 and an even smaller one composed by a 30/135mm telescope for very Wide field views (especially Nebulas), normally used as a guide-scope.
Astrophotography is one of my hobbies.
